Trae Gordon has 20 years of commercial expertise in the med-tech space, including sales, marketing, organizational leadership, and pre-commercialization strategy. Recently, Trae has started his own business with multiple ventures, including angel investment in both the med-tech space as well as automated stock portfolio technologies.
Currently at Aspero Medical, Trae is doing both commercial leadership and pre-commercial strategy with one currently FDA-cleared product for small bowel enteroscopy while building the infrastructure and go-to market strategy with future next-generation products used in the GI cancer resection space.
Trae joined 3-D Matrix in January of 2022, where he commercialized and hired the entire team in the US as the VP of Sales for 3-D Matrix and launched novel self-assembling peptides used as a hemostatic and wound-healing device for ENT, GI, and other related cancer post-resection sites taking this product from $0 to $12 million in less than 2 years. He did this after serving in two different national roles with Ambu, where he led and built the Strategic Business Management team for the entire portfolio and later the strategic development and expansion into the ASC market for the disposable gastroscope and colonoscope.
Prior to joining Ambu, Trae held the position of Area Vice President for Medrobotics, overseeing the Southeast for a flexible robotic surgical platform in the Head and Neck ENT and Colorectal ESD spaces.
Trae also spent 10 years launching various disruptive technologies and leading multiple teams in the GI space with Barrx Medical which sold to Covidien GI and later acquired by Medtronic.
Trae did his MBA work at Lipscomb University and graduated from Louisiana State University with a degree in Microbiology.
Trae currently resides in Nashville, TN with his two sons, Ace and Thatcher.
