About Steve Schwartz:
Steve Schwartz is a sports marketing professional whose corporate career expanded sales and marketing roles at Unilever, PepsiCo, DISH Network, FOX Sports, Liberty Media and DIRECTV.
In 2014, Steve launched SMP to help professional athletes (ex. Doug Baldwin, Bret Saberhagen), pro teams (ex. Jacksonville Jaguars) and large consumer brands (ex. Tommy Bahama) with their branding, endorsements and sponsorship activations.
Steve later launched his second firm, ProInfluence, to consult with startup companies on business development, partnership and fundraising initiatives. ProInfluence specializes in driving awareness and trial with key stakeholders within the sports, sports tech and consumer packaged goods verticals. Steve also serves as a mentor or advisor with a number of venture organizations including Techstars Sports and SXSW.
In 2018, Steve began building an angel investment portfolio that includes DraftKings, Plaid, Stripe, and Project Admission.
Steve holds a B.S. in economics and finance from Southern Methodist University (SMU) and later earned his MBA from the Katz Graduate School of Business at the University of Pittsburgh.
