Alecia Harris:
Senior Associate Banker, JP Morgan Private Bank
About Alecia Harris:
Alecia Harris is a Banker in the Houston office of J.P. Morgan Private Bank. Alecia is part of the distinguished MBA Associate Program, designed to develop future leaders and visionaries of the firm. She works with some of the most affluent families in Houston to address the opportunities and challenges of wealth.
Alecia understands that her clients have complex goals, and she delivers the firm’s intellectual strengths and global capabilities to help them strategically grow and preserve their assets. She surrounds each family with a team of specialists who can present customized recommendations for a full breadth of requirements—banking, lending, investing, planning, philanthropy and more.
By leading with a service mentality and asking appropriate questions, Alecia offers the confidence that each client’s dreams and aspirations have been heard. One of her favorite things to do is make connections, and she finds her background in the Houston art scene is a fantastic way to use art as a catalyst for connection,
Alecia took an unusual path to a career in wealth management, which began in publication and public relations for the visual arts and luxury interior design. Most recently, she spent five years at the Moody Center for the Arts at Rice University, curating the visitor experience to make art accessible for everyone. Her work in the fundraising space has provided her with deep insight into the wealth management needs of high-net-worth donors.
A graduate of the Honors College at The University of Texas at San Antonio, Alecia earned a B.A. in Art History Criticism, and graduated with her M.B.A. as a Rice Business Scholar from the Jones Graduate School of Business. Active with the school, she was the Private Wealth Management Chair for the Finance Association, and Chief Talent Officer of the prestigious Rice Business Board Fellows club.
Alecia remains very involved with Houston’s vibrant cultural community—she serves on the boards of Writers in the Schools, and the Houston Arts Alliance, and also supports several arts nonprofits including the Houston Grand Opera and the Contemporary Arts Museum Houston. Outside the office, Alecia and her partner, Eivind, enjoy introducing their daughter, Flynn, to travel adventures skiing and enjoying art all over the globe.
